Wydawnictwo Mag
Wydawnictwo Mag was founded in Warsaw in 1993 by Jacek Rodek, founder and long-term Deputy Editor of first and the only sci-fi and fantasy monthly „Fantastyka”. Founded in 1993 Mag Publishers published RolePlaying Games and two monthlies “Fenix” dedicated to literature and “Magaia I Miecz” dedicated to Role Playing Games.
Today Mag publishes internationally acclaimed, multiple award-winning modern science fiction and fantasy and horror authors, mainly from America and Great Britain. Mag also publishes a range of fiction targeted for readers in grade 12 and up.
In 2007 and before Mag had several international megahits including “Eragon” and “Eldest” by Christopher Paolini, “The Stupidest Angel”, “ Dirty Job” and “Lamb” by Christopher Moore, “M is for Magic” and “Stardust” by Neil Gaiman. In 2007 Mag had 7 bestsellers ranked in first Top 20 bestseller list in Empik bookstore chain.
