Publishing House Name: Fundacja Zeszytów Literackich
The publishing house established by Barbara Toruńczyk in Paris in the year 1983 publishes the "Zeszyty Literackie" quarterly and books about literature, art and history.So far "Zeszyty Literackie" published i.a. Zbigniew Herbert's essays on european culture, his letters and also the latetes volumes of sketches by Adam Michnik, Roberto Salvadori, Tomas Venclova and Adam ZagajewskiFundacja Zeszytow Literackich publishes poems by Josif Brodski, Tomas Venclova, Adam Zagajewski, important literary and historical testimonies (Kurt Lewin, „PrzeżyłemSaga świętego Jura...”; Barbara Toruńczyk, „Rozmowy w Maisons-Laffitte, 1981”; Jerzy Stempowski, „Listy”; Witold Lutosławski „Postscriptum”) and books by young Polish authors such as Tomasz Cyz, Piotr Mitzner, Marek Zagańczyk.
Books
· Zbigniew Herbert „Labirynt nad morzem” – the book that has been published after the author's death. It is a part of a trilogy, along with „Barbarzyńca w ogrodzie” and „Martwa natura z wędzidłem” – a unique story about the art and civilisation of the North and the South since antiquity until modern times.Zbigniew Hebert’s letters to Henryk Elzenberg, Stanisław Barańczak and Czesław Miłosz are an important and valuable addendum to these volumes.
· Adam Michnik’s latest work - „Wyznania nawróconego dysydenta”, „Wściekłość i wstyd”, „W poszukiwaniu utraconego sensu” on the topics of politics, historyk and literature.
· Adam Zagajewski „Poeta rozmawia z filozofem” – a volume of sketches on the nature of writing, connections between literature and pihilosophy, about the autor himself and other people, about Miłosz and Herbert, Gombrowicz, Cioran, Máraim and Kertész.
· Tomas Venclova „Opisać Wilno” — a collection of historical essays about Wilno, a literary guidebook for this reamarkable city.
